Preliminary Notices

Any one providing labor, materials, equipment or a service to a property owner has Mechanic's Lien rights in the State of California. One of the most important things you can do for each and every job is to protect your lien rights. The key to protecting your lien rights is to file a California Preliminary Notice, also called a 20- Day Notice or a pre-lien notice.

Don't loose your lien rights!

With the economy depressed, construction starts down and money tight you cannot afford not to file a preliminary notice on every job you take on!

For more informaton about preliminary notices and mechanics' liens see Preliminary Notice FAQs.

While not difficult, filling out a California Preliminary Notice can be tedious at best. Peter Klein & Associates will take on this burden for you. We'll make sure it is completed correctly, mailed to the proper parties.

Additionally, we can verify the property owner for each of your jobs in San Diego County, for a small additional fee.

Do you have time to do all that?

We'll also provide you copies of the postal receipts to verify mailing, as well as Proof of Service Affidavit.
